Best Practices in Applying the Labour Legislation

Friday, 20 March 2015, Fine Law organized a seminar for the company HP, with the theme “Best Practices in Applying the Labour Legislation”, an event dedicated to HR specialists. The seminar was designed as an interactive workshop, being moderated by Iulian Patrascanu and has brought in focus two of the issues that Romanian companies face in present:

1. the importance of professional training but also the consequences of missing it, when considering  the dismissal on professional unsuitability grounds; and
2. the dismissal because of professional unsuitability and because of misconduct: a confusion between the two types of dismissal that is often sanctioned by the courts, through their decisions.

Given the interest of participants for best practice in Labour legislation, the discussions have also addressed other related topics, the seminar bringing in this way an applied but comprehensive vision over the issues faced by HR staff.
